It looks like Evan Turner will be getting playing time afterall.
It was announced today that Lou Williams will be out for the remaining five games of the regular season with a right hamstring strain. Williams strained his right hamstring in the third quarter of Saturday’s overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Whether this is a precautionary move, or if the injury is serious remains to be seen, but the Sixers will definitely miss Williams for these next five games.
Williams is fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 13.7 points per game.
Playoffs are set to open in roughly two weeks, so hopefully that will be enough time for the potential sixth man of the year.
This injury obviously moves Turner up in the rotation, but the Sixers appear to be close to signing 36-year-old, NBDL Guard, Antonio Daniels, to fill the roster spot.
