Goal Reached, but 76ers Will Seek Revenge

The Philadelphia 76ers have clinched a playoff spot and some would believe that the game from here on are pointless. Some people may not see the 76ers advancing past the first round, so they may say, “Why get false hope over this?” Well, tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks may be a little more than any other regular season game for Philadelphia.

Throughout the year, the Sixers have shown a great ability to bounce back after tough defeats. They got their doors blown in earlier in the year by the Chicago Bull, by nearly half-a-hundred points, but in their next meeting with Chicago, they took it to them. You have to believe this is running through the minds of the Sixers’ players before tonight’s game.

Unless there was a Lil Wane concert that nobody knew about in the Bradley Center last night, I would think that all 12 dressed players will be ready to bounce back, once again. The Bucks’, Andrew Bogut, presents an extreme rebounding threat for the Sixers. A main key in tonight’s matchup is to limit him off the glass, and keep his points in the paint minimized.

Bogut leads the team in rebounding, with 11.2 per-game, and Brandon Jennings leads Milwaukee in scoring, averaging 16.2. Just like Philadelphia, they don’t have a central focus in their offense to worry about. They keep their points spread out, and that could present a daunting task for the 76ers. But, be ready for a bounce-back.

Here are the likely starting lineups for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers:

Philadelphia 76ers

PG – Jrue Holiday

SG – Jodie Meeks

SF – Andre Iguodala

PF – Elton Brand

C – Spencer Hawes

Milwaukee Bucks

PG – Brandon Jennings

SG – John Salmons

SF – Carlos Delfino

PF – Luc Mbah a Moute

C – Andrew Bogut
